What it is about
Many boomtowns and frontier towns were near to mines since those companies needed to provide for miners in order for them to work there. So, why would they all be the same? Make each of your mines and mining towns unique and interesting with just a few easy dice rolls. And over time, these basic building blocks of the Wild West will shape the town by shaping the people who live in it.
You can apply this system-agnostic roleplaying product to any game system built for the Wild West (like Deadlands, Through the Breach, Tall Tales, Wild West, Boot Hill, Aces & Eights, Down Darker Trails, Werewolf: The Wild West, US Marshalls, The Devil’s Staircase, Quickdraw, Rifts, etc.). This list can be applied to mines, mining towns, boomtowns, and goldrush areas. We suggest that you give each area 1d3 rolls on this table to give that mine, the owners, or the mining community some real personality.
This Roll Percentile list has one hundred possible results in this format:
Roll result: A brief description of an interesting feature of this old West mine or mining town.
Example 101: Snake Oil Salesman has hidden a cache of gold just off the mine’s property.
