What it is about
A small, solo–friendly feral d6 fantasy engine for rogue wizards and dungeon rats and a Rosetta Stone that lets you run B/X, AD&D, 5E, Tunnels & Trolls, OSR zines, and one pagers as is.
Fast tables, stolen spells, scoundrel magic, lethal stakes.
Tunnels & Trolls™ is used with the kind permission of Ken St. Andre, whose own creations haunt these pages in spirit.
The Raven & the Rat, long past midnight in Dagger Alley. Hushed talk about elephantine towers and lost dwarven cities, smoke on the rafters, guttering candles, the stink of wet cloaks and cheap wine. Dungeon maps lie spread on greasy planks, a knife driven through them, elven runes aglow. Everyone’s cowled or hooded. This is no guild and no honourable company. It’s where the wrong sort drift when they need coin and don’t care who gets bled for it. You might spot clever Cugel there, the Gray Mouser in a corner booth, Subotai the Hyrkanian checking the exits, Taurus of Nemedia weighing a purse, Shadowspawn from Sanctuary watching everyone, and Bilbo the burglar pretending he isn’t out of his depth. They are scoundrels, sellswords, and rogue wizards.
Many Sought Adventure plays like an old paperback: rulings over rules, swingy luck, narrow escapes, and schemes that come from the players rather than the character sheet. It’s built for fast tables, light prep, and eldritch magic.
Run adventures written for other old–school and mainstream fantasy games without converting them. Keep one character sheet. Hop systems week to week. Use the same rogue–wizard through a B/X crawl, a 5E one–shot, a Tunnels & Trolls scenario, or an OSR zine.
