Space Botanist

Space Botanist is a solo tabletop role-playing game where you play as a botanist on a space crew, responsible for discovering and cultivating alien plants to maintain a greenhouse that provides the ship's oxygen. Using a six-sided die and a standard deck of 52 cards, you choose 1 of 3 main activities to engage in during the day: discovery, cultivation, and greenhouse tending. In the discovery phase, you roll to determine the appearance of a seed and draw it. During cultivation, you roll on tables to define the plant's superficial and special alien characteristics, and draw creative prompts to sketch the plant, each day you can only roll on one table. After cultivating, you draw a card to see if the plant affects the greenhouse's oxygen production. Each day, the ship consumes only 1 liter of oxygen, starting with 10 liters in the tank. If the oxygen runs out, you lose the game. The goal is to successfully maintain the greenhouse, ensuring the oxygen supply never depletes while discovering new species for a total of 30 days.
