What it is about

Four solo journaling RPGs. One small imaginary institution. For years, four wings of a small archival Guild have quietly published their books one at a time — a Vanished Atlas of countries, a pocket atlas of small rooms, a ledger of unfinished things, a book of vanished suppers. Each was written on its own, for one player, a notebook, and a deck of cards. The Vanished Cycle brings them together for the first time — the four wing-books, unchanged and complete —  alongside The Guild Codex, a 20-page internal handbook that has never been sold separately and never will be. WHAT'S INSIDE Four full games, unchanged from their individual editions: ▸ THE VANISHED ATLAS (28pp + Field Sheets + Guild's Ledger bonus) thirteen vanished countries. Draw with a leather case and thirteen commissions. The Guild's oldest wing. ▸ THE VANISHED ATLAS: SMALL ROOMS (39pp) Map thirteen vanished rooms with a pocket notebook. The Second Bureau — the smaller and quieter of the two mapping wings. ▸ AN ATLAS OF UNFINISHED THINGS (29pp) Catalogue thirteen things begun and not completed. A ledger with three tabs: the Completed, the Buried, the Left Open. ▸ A BOOK OF VANISHED SUPPERS (39pp) Sit with thirteen recipes from thirteen lost kitchens. Preserve them, or let them fade. And, only in this bundle: ✻ THE GUILD CODEX (20pp — EXCLUSIVE) A private, hand-bound internal handbook of the Guild. Includes: · The Charter — what the Guild is, and why it has four wings · Six Crossover Play exercises — using materials from one wing-book in another, for players who own more than one game · The Final Ledger — a solo closing ceremony played once, at the end of a long season of play, in your own voice The Codex is not a game on its own. It is a hinge between the games. It is not, and will never be, sold separately. WHO THIS IS FOR ▸ New readers who want the whole shelf at once, at a lower price than the four books bought separately. ▸ Returning readers who already own one or two of the wing-books, and want the Codex — the only piece of the Cycle you cannot get any other way. Every book includes a printer-friendly variant (except Field Sheets, which are already print-optimised). FROM HEARTH & QUILL PRESS We make solo journaling roleplaying games and small tabletop supplements for people who would rather play than prep. Our books are written for one player, a notebook, a deck of cards, and a single quiet evening at a kitchen table. A NOTE ON HOW THIS WAS MADE All game text — every prompt, every rule, every line of the Codex — is written by a human author. Cover illustrations were generated with the assistance of a commercial image model and hand-retouched. If you prefer games made without any AI involvement, this isn't the right book for you, and we recommend the wonderful work of Spring Villager, Sealed Library, Mousehole Press, and Exeunt Press. Draw slowly. Catalogue honestly. Cook or do not cook, as the recipe wants. — Hearth & Quill Press
