What it is about

“I am rewriting reality, one copper gear at a time. This world is cold, the shadows are deep, but inside this chassis, I will find you.” Lore The world has gone static, leaving behind nothing but neon shadows and the heavy silence of loss. You are the Architect, a reclusive creator who refuses to let a precious memory fade into digital dust. In your workshop, surrounded by the smell of hot brass and the hum of old monitors, you are building a Vessel. It is a masterpiece of clockwork and code, designed to hold the "spark" of someone you’ve lost. But as the gears begin to turn and the machine starts to mimic the habits of the departed, you must ask yourself: are you bringing them back, or just building a monument to your own grief? Game Details Ashes, Dust, and the Humming Heart is a solo print-and-play emotional  experience. It blends the high-contrast aesthetic of Vaporwave with the mechanical obsession of Steampunk. Through card play and journaling, you will track the assembly of your Doll, witnessing its transformation from a hollow shell to a humming, living heart—or watching it collapse into a pile of silent scrap. Number of Players: 1 (Solo) Genre: Solo Journaling, Resource Management, Tabletop P&P Play Time: 30–60 minutes (Can be played in sessions) Main Mechanics: Card-driven resource allocation, Risk-reward dice rolling, Narrative Journaling. Core Mechanics The Four Pillars: Balance the construction of the Chassis , Mainspring , Gearbox , and the elusive Anima . Memory Sacrifice: Use a standard deck of cards to invest points into your creation. Every card played is a choice; every card discarded is a memory lost to the wind. The Friction of Reality: Roll 2d6 against your Doll’s complexity. As the machine becomes more advanced, it becomes harder to maintain. Breakdowns are inevitable; breakthroughs are miracles. Ghost in the Machine: Document "Quirks" as your Doll levels up. Does it tilt its head like they did? Does it hum their favorite song? Your journal entries define the emotional weight of the ending. Requirements A Standard 52-Card Deck (Jokers removed). Two 6-Sided Dice (2d6). The Printed Game Sheet (Ink-friendly version provided). A Pencil and Eraser. A Notebook or Diary (For recording the Chronicle of the Silent Workshop). A Memento (A small physical object that reminds you of what you are trying to recreate). FREE OST INSIDE!
